Estes Design and Manufacturing, Inc. was founded in Indianapolis in 1976 with the goal of assisting companies with all aspects of product design and manufacturing, from concept through prototyping and design refinement and on to manufacturing of the final product. Estes is ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certified and occupies 85,000 square feet of production space.
11 CAD-capable employees on staff; proficiency in Creo, SOLIDWORKS, Illustrator and Photoshop.
Eight Engineers on staff with degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Computer Integrated Manufacturing Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering.
Department of five full-time specialists, including three engineers, an industrial designer, and a CAD designer. All have extensive experience in design, DFMA, quoting, prototyping, product testing, and advanced manufacturing.
Estes Accelerator specializes in quick-turn prototyping and short-run manufacturing. Personnel has access to all production equipment in addition to dedicated floorspace and equipment consisting of a laser cutter, press brake with automatic tool changing capabilities, and MIG and TIG welding machines.
Between engineering education and combined hundreds of years of fabricating experience, Estes can evaluate an existing design and offer guidance on improvements to make it easier and more cost-effective to manufacture.
